Wildcats News · Boys Basketball Honored at Town Council Meeting

The Hanover Central 2019-2020 boys’ basketball team was honored last night at the Cedar Lake Town Council meeting.  They received a proclamation which goes into public record that recognized their team’s tremendous championship season.  They were recognized for the following accomplishments:

2018-2019 and 2019-2020 Sectional Winners (Back to Back) (1st time in program history)

2019-2020 Record of 24 Wins, 2 losses (School Record of Victories)

2019-2020 Greater South Shore Conference Champions (7 Wins, 0 Losses)

2019-2020 Post Tribune Coach of the Year – Bryon Clouse

2019-2020 IBCA Academic All-State – Dominic Lucido

Team Success:  63.6 Points/Game Scored and 42.8 Points/Game Allowed

Lost Tournament Opportunity to finish 2019-2020 due to COVID-19 circumstances

Joins 1985-86 Team as only Sectional Winners in School History

As the Town Council so fittingly stated “These Young Men provide our Community the light and the way into the future!”
