Last Saturday the Hanover Central Boys Varsity Cross Country ran in their largest meet of the season at the New Prairie Invitational. The boys cross country went into the meet coming off of a good week of practice. When they got to the invite they instantly knew that it was going to be a good day to run some fast times.
Unfortunately, the Hanover Central Boys Varsity Cross Country Team underperformed at New Prairie and finished the meet in 6th place. However they were able to run some pretty fast times as a result of having some good competition in their race coming from Bellmont High School, Western High School, West Lafayette High School, South Bend Riley High School and South Bend St. Joseph High School. They were led by junior Bryce Noble who placed 5th in 16:29, senior Alex Arce who placed 15th in 16:59, and Sophomore Ryan York who placed 21st in 17:08. The other Hanover runners were Kyle Thibideau in 51st, Christian Dahn in 86rd, Danny Kartz in 88th, and Charlie Watson in 101st. The final Hanover runner was John Rich who placed 80th in the JV race.
The Hanover Central Boys Varsity Cross Country hopes to bounce back from there disappointing performance and place top 5 next weekend at Rochester. Come support the Hanover Central Cross Country Team on Tuesday at their home course the Monastery as they celebrate Senior Night.
