Boys Varsity Cross Country · IHSAA Cross Country Sectional

Last saturday your Hanover Central Boys Cross Country placed 2nd in the IHSAA Sectional Championship at Hebron High School. The boys had some good competition coming from Crown Point, Lowell, Illiana Christian, Hobart, Merrillville, and Hebron. As a result of placing top 5 the HC Boys Cross Country will be competing next saturday at the IHSAA Regional Championship.

The HC Boys Cross Country was able to place well enough to finish with a 2nd place finish only losing to Crown Point by 33 points. The boys were led by junior Bryce Noble who placed 6th, sophomore Ryan York who placed 11th, and senior Alex Arce who placed 14th. The other HC runners were Kyle Thibideau who placed 25th missing out on a ribbon by 5 places and 11 seconds, Christian Dahn who placed 30th, Danny Kartz who placed 33rd, and Charlie Watson who placed 47th.

The boys will compete at Lemon Lake next saturday in the IHSAA Regional Meet. The boys will be trying to place top 5 so they can advance to the Semi-State meet the following saturday at New Prairie High School. Come support the HC Boys Cross Country as they wrap up their season in the coming weeks.
