Girls Varsity Pom Cats · Senior Spotlight: Jenna Schulman


Earlier this week we got the privilege of interviewing senior Jenna Schulman. Schulman is one of our current Hanover Central seniors on the Wildcat’s Poms team. Below are some of the questions we asked and the answers that we received.

What made you want to join Poms? 

Answer

Being able to express myself On a dance team and wanting to experience performing at competitions, basketball games, and football games.

 

Question

How long have you been on the Poms team?

Answer

7 years (4 years high school) (3 years middle school)

 

Question

Do you like Poms? 

Answer

Yes , I especially love the team , they are my second family and it is a place I can go to to do what I love.

 

Question

Do you plan to continue to do Poms after you graduate? 

Answer

I do not plan to continue dancing in college due to injury.

 

Question

What is your favorite/best memory from your time with the team? 

Answer

Performing hip hop at state in 2019.

 

Question

What is your favorite part of practice? 

Answer

The workout circuits we do , our coach always makes them so fun with intricate moves and uplifting music.

 

Question

How has COVID-19 affected your season? 

Answer

COVID-19 had affected our season tremendously. Our competitions have been pushed a month forward, and we are not allowed to have spectators in the audience nor have award banquets. We never know if covid is going to cancel state again.
