Sydney Kuzma is living out her dream to play college softball. Kuzma signed to Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday, November 18th. Kuzma will be pitching and playing first base for the Warriors next season and couldn’t be more excited.
Ever since she began playing at the age of 8, she always knew college softball was her goal. Kuzma started varsity all 4 years of her high school career and was able to be a big part of many successful seasons. Her dreams to play softball in college have finally come true! Along with playing softball Kuzma plans on majoring in Criminal Justice. Kuzma hopes to one day become an FBI agent.
Kaitlyn Kil got the chance to ask the newest Warrior some questions:
Q: What made you decide you wanted to continue playing in college?
A: From the beginning, my dream has always been to play college softball.
Q: What division are you going to be playing in?
A: I will be playing NCAA Division 3.
Q: What made you choose this division?
A:I chose Division 3 because it offers a great balance between academics, athletics, and social experiences.
Q: What made you choose this college?
A: Wisconsin Lutheran has a great head coach, is the perfect size school, and the area offers lots to do.
Q: What do you plan on studying?
A: I plan on studying Criminal Justice.
Q: When did you first start playing?
A: I first started playing softball when I was eight years old.
Q: What position will you be playing?
A: I will be playing first base and pitcher.
Q: What are you most excited about in college?
A: I am looking forward to meeting new friends, being a part of a new team, and my first taste of independence.
