Trap · Hanover Trap and Skeet Call-Out Meeting Coming Soon!

Hello Hanover! The Spring Hanover Trap and Skeet team is coming back, and there will be a callout meeting for all previous athletes and future participants on February 23rd at 6:00 PM in the East Gym. Parents have been asked to join the meeting.

A word for all those who have never participated in the sport, it is rather easy to get into, and if you have any questions, this is an easy way to find answers to that. The group of coaches who run the trap organization within our school go above and beyond what they would ever need to do in the name of the sport, and almost all of the athletes who have participated in the sport have returned for future seasons. On the side for students as well, there are numerous scholarships that can be offered for participation in trap, and stellar performance will attract the attention of colleges with trap and skeet teams. To parents, trap and skeet is the safest sport that Hanover has ever hosted, with zero injuries of any kind of the field, and safety measures to prevent anything bad from happening, all the while promoting an enjoyable and competitive experience on the field.

Trap is an excellent way to teach your children not only about firearm safety, but also teach them to become better competitively, and promote a sense of fellowship between all those on the team. From the near 50 active students on the team last fall, almost all of them will be making a return, with new people joining as well. The best time to have joined was long ago, but the next best chance is this season, so be sure not to miss!

So come out and see what trap has to offer! The team is always searching for new members, and there is no organization out there that will do a better job of teaching people how to be safe around firearms, but also provide an education about them in general. As always, stay safe and healthy Hanover.
