On Saturday, HCMS hosted the 8th annual Wildcat Hokum Karem. The races were run in pairs, and the partners ran 1500, 1200, or 1000 meters twice. In the Boys “A” race, HCMS outdistanced Clark by ten to capture the team title. In that race, Brayden Kurczewski and Danny Kartz finished 2nd, Austin Miller and Ashton Verbish 6th, and Landen Coduti and Kyle Perez 9th.
The girls finished 3rd in the “A” race by just three points. Skylar Ferry and Scarlett placed 2nd, and Leah Hernandez and Aubrey Flood 6th.
In the boys “B” race, Ryan Sandberg and Rocco Lopez placed 2nd, Logan Sus and Braden Flood placed 4th, and Joey Johnson and Clark Noble placed 7th.
In the girls “B” race, Mackenzie Iverson and Madison Phillips paired up for 8th place.
There was no team scoring in the “B” races or Open race.
The teams were rained out for Monday’s meet at Hebron, but will travel to Hebron on Saturday for the Dave Walker Invitational.
