The Hanover Central Boys Varsity basketball team opened up conference play tonight against the Whiting Oilers. The Wildcats came out with intensity and took control of the game early. The team found their shooting form hitting 15 threes by the the time the buzzer sounded. 8 of those three point baskets were poured in by Sophomore Joey Glidewell who led all scorers with 26pts. Hanover saw five players score in double digits, Kole Popko had 12pts, Luke Barach and Dom Lucido both added 11pts and Kameron Ludwig scored 10. In a total team effort the Cats saw every player score and dominated on both the defensive and offensive ends of the floor. Hanover’s record stands at 2-1 overall, 1-0 in the GSSC and will travel to River Forest to battle the Ingots next Friday night at 7pm.
