After a week off, the Lady Wildcats came back roaring with exciting A and B game victories.

In the A game, the girls started off slow, not able to penetrate Griffith’s pesky man-to-man defense. As the game went on, Hanover’s motion offense began to improve and gradually started putting points on the board. The 2nd half saw the 2 teams battle back and forth till it was tied 19-19 with less than a minute left. After Sienna Stilley buried a clutch free throw to give the Wildcats a 1 point lead, Griffith took the ball down the court and tried to win it with last second desperation shots but the girl’s defense held up and time ran out for a Wildcat victory. The offense was led by Sienna Stilley with 8 points followed by Zoe Serenas and Emma Mueller with 4 points and Lily McDonnell and Brooklyn Oostman with 2 points.

In the B game, Hanover got a quick lead that they never lost to win 8-6. Claire Edgerton and Brooklyn Oostman dominated the offensive boards. Defensively, the Wildcats were led by Nadia Paun, Raigan Orsini and Audrey Zuzich. Scoring 4 points apiece were Claire Edgerton and Brooklyn Oostman. Video of the game will be available later this morning or afternoon on YouTube…say tuned for a “Remind” announement/link.

The girls next play at home in the Hanover 2020 Invitational Tournament Saturday, February 22nd. First game is at 10:15 AM.
