The Lady Wildcats took on a tough Kankakee Valley Kougars team on Tuesday evening in Cedar Lake. The game was a hard fought battle from the very begnning, and the Lady Wildcats went into the locker room at halftime with a small lead. In the second half, Hanover was able to play solid defense, extend the lead on offense, and secure the victory. Navaeh Govert lead the team in scoring with 25 points. However, defense was also the key to this victory, with Julia Blue, Star Sanchez, Skylar Ferry, Hailey Vanderhye, and Govert all providing good team defense. The Lady Wildcats play again next Wednesday against Andrean.
