Once again the Lady Wildcats struggled out of the gate, falling behind 15-4 after the first stanza. However, much like the Rensselaer game, the remaining quarters were much more competitive. Amanda Schreiber led in scoring with 11, Julianne Bartoszek and Bri Kickert added 6 and 7 points, respectively. In the first half, the team had some success getting the ball inside to Sarah Spangler and got the host Trojans into some foul trouble. Sarah finished with 9 points on the night, mostly because Highland’s interior defense stiffened in the second half. The team will host the local rival Lady Red Devils next, in the annual “Thanksgiving Eve” game.
