Both the boys and the girls middle school cross-country teams rebounded from Thursday’s loss at KV. The boys had a clean sweep of the first 10 places against the visiting Trojans from Highland Middle school, and won the meet with a perfect score of 15-50. Brayden Kurczewski, Danny Kartz and Ashton Verbish occupied the first three spots. 7th grader Kevin Arroyo ran a personal best time.
The girls placed 1,2, 4,5 and 10 to defeat the Lady Trojans 22-33. Scarlett Nelson and Leah Hernandez finished 1-2, while Skylar Ferry and Shannon Nelson finished 4 and 5. Leah Hernandez and Mackenzie Iverson each ran personal best times.
The teams will host St. John the Evangelist, Crown Point Christian, Victory Christian and St. Mary’s on Thursday.
